Haikur (af námskeiði í skriftum, á ensku)
I had always thought haikus were a throwaway silliness, a form of poetry for dabblers and children, and had totally ignored them. I had never heard of their complexity or the seasonal references until now. So here are two haikus (written with newfound respect for the form). Við könnumst eflaust öll við tilfinninguna þegar við vitum að við ættum að vera að gera eitthvað til að breyta lífi okkar, en sláum því á frest. Förum í skóla næsta haust, ekki núna. Sækjum um vinnu í næstu viku, tollum kyrr í leiðndadjobbinu eina viku í viðbót. Tökum okkur á í matarræðinu eftir helgi, (ég meina, laugardagar eru nammidagar!). En svo kemur sparkið.
